WILD Napa monthly lecture series explores topics related to Napa County’s ‘wild side’! RCD Senior Biologist Jonathan Koehler joins us for this month’s installment. The event will be hosted by Napa County Resource Conservation District and Napa County Library on January 9 from 7-8pm at the Napa County Library. Since 2009, Jonathan has annually monitored smolt abundance, adult returns, juvenile distribution, and genetic diversity in the Napa River Watershed. Just this year his team found tagged trout returning up the Napa River to spawn. The purpose of this monitoring and research is to provide science-based information to all stakeholders involved in steelhead and salmon management and recovery. WILD Napa events are held every 2nd Wednesday at 7pm.
