The California Invasive Plant Society and UC ANR hosting two free trainings on non-chemical weed control techniques on Tuesday, February 25 (Oakland) and Friday, March 13 (Riverside). They will cover whole plant removal, cutting, mowing, girdling, tarping, mulching, flaming, steaming, grazing, and who, what, when, and where of which techniques to use on which types of species. Department of Pesticide Regulation Continuing Education credits are pending. The training will be geared towards professionals and trained volunteers that are not experts yet in all these techniques, but we welcome participation from highly experienced folks as well!
