Agricultural Reuse
January 31, 2018
Sacramento Area Sewer District
10060 Goethe Road
Sacramento, CA 95827

Potential for the use of recycled water for agricultural irrigation is especially promising in the arid and semi-arid regions of the world where there is groundwater depletion or other local supply challenges. This potential remains underutilized due to various challenges and impediments to agricultural reuse.

In partnership with the State Water Resources Control Board in California, WE&RF is holding a workshop to inform attendees on the state of the science of agricultural water reuse, particularly as it pertains to the Western U.S. region. This includes the unique drivers, design/permitting, treatment technologies, economics, operations, and how to gain stakeholder support. Information presented will include findings from timely WE&RF research efforts and an expert panel session on stakeholder experiences with the use of recycled water for agriculture.
